Common questions
What are the most auspicious move-in dates in January 2028?
According to the Chinese almanac, the best move-in dates in January 2028 are Friday, January 21, 2028; Sunday, January 9, 2028; Wednesday, January 12, 2028.
Are there good move-in dates on a weekend in January 2028?
Yes: Sunday, January 9, 2028; Sunday, January 30, 2028.
Which days in January 2028 should be avoided for moving house?
The almanac lists 入宅/移徙 as inauspicious (忌) on 14 days: Sun Jan 2, Tue Jan 4, Thu Jan 6, Fri Jan 7, Sat Jan 8, Thu Jan 13, Fri Jan 14, Sat Jan 15, Sun Jan 16, Mon Jan 17, Wed Jan 19, Mon Jan 24, and others.
How are these dates chosen?
Each day is checked in the traditional Chinese almanac: it must list 入宅 or 移徙 among the day's favorable activities (宜) and not among its taboos (忌), and it must not be a Break (破) day or a day marked 诸事不宜. Days on the Yellow Path (黄道), with favorable day officers or blessing stars rank higher. A day that clashes (冲) with your own zodiac animal should be skipped.
