Computed from the traditional Chinese almanac (黄历 / 通书). August 2028 spans the 6th and 7th lunar months of the 戊申 Earth Monkey year. Solar terms this month: 立秋 (Start of Autumn) on Aug 7 and 处暑 (End of Heat) on Aug 22.
Folk note: 戊申 Earth Monkey year (2028-01-26 – 2029-02-12) contains two 立春 (Start of Spring) dates. This “double spring” year (双春年) is traditionally considered especially lucky for weddings, so popular dates and venues book up early.
Part of this month falls in the 7th lunar month (Ghost Month, 鬼月), when many families avoid weddings. Dates in it are marked “Ghost Month” below and left out of our top picks.
